Grady and Lila's car broke down and they started a new life.
What would their life be like if their car had broken down in Grand Island? How could Grady learn to take care of the car? Where would he go to school? What interests would he have in Grand Island? Who would they meet?

If Lila and Grady's car had broken down in Grand Island, I think someone else would fix the car. But Grady would have to learn by himself on how to fix the car. I think Grady would go to the closest school to where ever he was staying. I think he would be interested in learning about cars and engines. Grady and Lila would meet new teachers, and maybe the mayor.

Unlike in the book I think Grady would like school. He would learn how to fix the car at a middle school. It would be in the Midwest like Sunward Path, but a bigger town.

This book keeps you on the edge of your seat. It was nice for Charley to take them in. I really liked this book because it was thrilling.

If Grady and Lila were real people I would help them find a home and try to help them fix their car. I would also tell Grady that he should come to Shoemaker School because there are no mean kids or teachers. I like this book because it tells you not to just take a look at someone and say "I don't want to be their friend". Give them a try and maybe you'll actually be friends.

I think that they would have moved into one of the hotels in Grand Island and go to the closet school
near it. He would have to get a machinics help them or Grady would have had to find out over time.
Maybe an oficer or other people that might help or make them take longer to get out of there. Grady
would have liked the local library to.

I agree with you lindsay because I would try to help them if there car brook down in Grand Island
too so but I would hope that he would go to Newell because I would want to get to know him.
I wouder what the story would be like if they both of them had the point of view as Charlie does now.

I agree with you Matthew that the book keeps you on the edge of your seat. I would hope he would go to Newell school because I would want to meet him in person and hope that he would move into our neihborhood.
